Imagine it's the year 2050. What does the world look like? How have technology, society, and the environment changed?

In the year 2050 the world looks very industrialized. There are a lot of cities and people. We have more electric cars on the streets in hopes of helping with global warming. There is more electronics than ever before, we use them for nearly everything. The natural land has been pushed to very few parts of land. People are more united and get along more well.  Today we read three chapters of A Lesson Before dying and answered discussion questions then we worked on our project if needed. Today was a really good day.

Imagine writing a letter to yourself 10 years from now. What advice, hopes, or reminders would you include?

If I was writing a letter to myself 10 years from now I would tell her to continue to work hard. I know it doesn't always feel like what she does makes a difference or that she doesn't get credit for her hard work but she does make a difference and her work is good. I would remind her of the hopes she has of having a good family that cares for each other and a big beautiful house. I would tell her that no matter how hard things are she should never give up. I would tell her that she isn't alone and her family will always support her. Today in class we worked on our projects. Today was a good day I was just tired.

Describe your personal approach to creativity. What steps do you follow when you’re working on a project. Tell me about a project you created that you were most proud of.

My personal approach with creativity is to think about what I can do what steps I need to take and how I should do it. I first learn what is expected of me then brainstorm what I can do. Then lastly try to achieve my goal. I like to take my time but also get done quickly. A project that I was most proud of was a project i had in 8th grade and it was a music project. We were asked to pick a song and find a few lines of the lyrics and write what we believe to be the true meaning behind it, we then had to draw the cover of the song. I was most proud of it because the song was something I had connected with so much as well as the drawing I made was really good.

Describe a time when you took a hiatus from something important. What led to the break, and how did it impact you?

The time I took a hiatus from something important was in 8th grade when I took a break from school. I was out for a couple weeks maybe even a month because I was moving from Georgia to Indiana. The trip was long and we had so much to move. We eventually made it but our house wasn't ready yet so we were out for another week until finally we were able to enroll in school. The break was obviously fun but I missed quite a bit of school and work so I had to catch up. It wasn't too hard doing all my work but there was just so much.  Today in class we were given a vocabulary assignment. We were also asked to copy the vocabulary words and definitions. Today was a good day I was very comfortable and productive.

Write about something that you heard that you wish you could unhear.

In 6th grade I had heard a very close friend of mine talking bad about me. She was talking about the way I dress and act and how I was just annoying to her. Me and this girl were very close, dare I say best friends. We had just made plans about going to the mall together and having fun spending the weekend together. Then we went to the locker rooms for the gym to change and when I came back I interrupted her talking to another girl and they were making fun of me. I was humiliated and just felt so stupid and confused as to how she felt this way but also made plans of us hanging out. I still wish I could unheard the things she said because it changed my self esteem and I now always second guess everything I do or wear or the way I act.  Today in class we had a semester review and worked on missing assignments if needed. Then we did our blog posts and work for other classes if needed.

Write about a moment when you felt you had the power to make a difference in someone else's life.

A moment I felt that I had the power to make a difference in someone elses life was when I saw a homeless family and I thought about helping them. The family consisted of three people, a mom and her two kids. It was a sad sight to see as me and my mom went into the store to buy groceries. I couldn't help but think about the homeless family and how unfair it was to see her struggling while me and my family are doing well. I decided that I wanted to help so I bought some food for them. I gave them the food and the women thanked me, her tears of joy and smile on her face was so heartwarming and I hoped that I had made a difference in her life. Today was a virtual day.

Describe a place where you feel the most at peace and explain why.

A place that I feel most at peace is my room. I feel most at peace in my room because it is my own space and I can fully relax in this space. My room is always very peaceful and sort of dark. I dont like to have too many lights on in my room because it tends to make my head hurt so its usually dark. My room smells of perfume and candles which gives me a lot of peace. I get a lot of work done in my room such as homework or other important tasks. My room allows me to thing clearer and just overall unwind from long days. Today we have a virtual day.

Describe a time when someone’s words had a lasting impact on you.

A time when someones words had a lasting impact on me was when I was graduating middle school. I had a teacher that I had been pretty close to nearly all school year. She had always appreciated how hard I was working and how fast and efficient I got things done. During my graduation she came up to be and told me that she just wanted to tell me something before I left. She told me that I am a strong young woman who can do anything I want in this world and to not let anyone get in the way. She hugged me and lastly said I want you to know that you are the light in everyone's lives around you. This was very touching and to this day I have never forgotten them.  Today we have virtual learning.

Reflect on a time when you had to rely on someone else. How did it feel?

A time when I had to rely on someone else was when I was doing this project. It was a group project and I had finished my part. The teacher said that everyone had to participate and if someone didn't do their part it would count against the whole group. I asked if my partners needed help since I had already finished they said they would do it at home. I knew that my grade depended on if they did it or not so I hoped they did it. When the due day came and it was our turn to present I was surprised to find out they did it. Even though in this case things worked out it still didn't feel good to depend on others. Today in class we read chapters 13-15 of A Lesson Before Dying. Then we answered discussion questions for each chapter. Afterwards we were given a collage assignment for the chapters. Overall today was good.

Write about an object that holds sentimental value and why it’s important to you

An object that holds sentimental value is a picture frame that my grandpa gave me. He got this for me when him and my grandmother went to Las Vegas. I was very young when they went and since I couldn't go with them he brought me something back. Its important to me because him and I were very close and its one of the last things I have of him after he passed. It reminds me of how he always included me, or at least tried to, in everything he did. Today in class we learned about characterization both directly and indirectly. Then we used it to make a chart about a given character from a lesson before dying. Today was not a good day for me but I was still productive.

Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone

A moment I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I was in 5th grade. My school was having a show for all the 5th graders as a way to say goodbye and that we are moving onto the next chapter. In this show we were expected to talk in front of all the parents and say what we wanted to be when we grow up. We also would all sing and perform a song based on the word optimism. I was never a particularly shy kid but this made me very uncomfortable because these were adults not children, also I wasn't sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. Eventually I was over my fear and performed well. Today in class we read and answered discussion questions about A Lesson Before Dying. Then we wrote a letter from Grants point of view expressing his feelings about teaching Jefferson. Today was a good day although I was very tired.

If you were President of the United States of America, what are 5 things that you would do and why?

If I were president I would try to get people who need healthcare but cannot afford it for free healthcare or aid with the charges of healthcare, this is to ensure that the people of our country are given the opportunity to get the help they need. I would also try to limit global warming because it is starting to get worse and worse and I feel as though the problem should be more addressed. Another thing I would do as president is to fight for the old decision of Roe v. Wade is back, I believe that women have the right and should be given the choice to do as they want with their bodies. I would also try to establish more gun control, although I believe people should have the right to protect themselves and bear arms I don't think that it ever has to get to the point that they need a military grade weapon in their homes or even on them; I would do this in hopes of limiting the amounts of mass shootings in schools and other places where people should feel safe. Lastly I would try to...

Write about a dream that felt real.

A dream that felt real is a dream that I had about my future. In this dream I was living in my own Mediterranean styled home. I also had two kids a daughter and a son. In the dream me and my kids, along with my partner were spending time together and making and eating breakfast in our outside kitchen by our pool. This dream was so realistic to me and very believable because I hope to have this lifestyle in the future.  Today in class we answered semester questions then did our blog post. Today has been a good day and its been very calm.

Summarize your holiday break. In addition, write about 5 personal goals that you want to achieve in 2025. Explain why you chose those goals

During my holiday break I spent time with my family, most specifically my mom and sisters. I also cleaned a lot. Our house is usually clean but over break we organized and got rid of things we no longer needed. I also played many games with my sisters and my girlfriend. Some personal goals I want to achieve in 2025 are my communication skills and patience, these skills aren't my strongest and I want to better them to be a better person for myself and others around me. I also want to be more responsible in school as well as my jobs at home, this is because sometimes I often find it hard balancing the two but I need to learn to maintain them both as equal. I also want to get my GPA back up to a 4.0, as of now it's at a 3.8, this is mostly for me I just want my GPA to get to 4.0 to challenge myself. Then lastly I want to practice in my sport to better how I play because I want to continue to improve my skills and my overall understanding of the game.
