Write about a moment when you had to step out of your comfort zone

A moment I had to step out of my comfort zone was when I was in 5th grade. My school was having a show for all the 5th graders as a way to say goodbye and that we are moving onto the next chapter. In this show we were expected to talk in front of all the parents and say what we wanted to be when we grow up. We also would all sing and perform a song based on the word optimism. I was never a particularly shy kid but this made me very uncomfortable because these were adults not children, also I wasn't sure what I wanted to be when I grew up. Eventually I was over my fear and performed well.

Today in class we read and answered discussion questions about A Lesson Before Dying. Then we wrote a letter from Grants point of view expressing his feelings about teaching Jefferson. Today was a good day although I was very tired.
