Write about a feeling that took you by surprise

 A feeling that took me by surprise was when I started to have nostalgia when i smelt a familiar smell that reminded me of my grandfather who passed. My grandfather would always give me the biggest hugs and he would always have a specific cologne on. I felt overwhelmed with emotions of sadness but also happiness. 

Today in class we analyzed and annotated a poem. I found the poem very interesting and enjoyed the way the narrator used certain words and literary techniques to tell the story. I could use this to help me on future tests such as the EOC when I am asked to do the same.
