 Today in class we finished up our work that we received yesterday. Since i did a good amount yesterday I only had to creat my mural. Today I feel good and it was a good day.

 Today in class we received a group assignment where we all got different roles and had to use a story to do it. We each created our own mural that we will then have to present to the class on wednesday. I learned about the story and i enjoyed reading the story. Overall today was okay just tiring.

 Today in class we used a newsela article to make our own argument paragraph. I learned about the different sides on if social media has a negative effect on young people. This was helpful so i could better understand what is expected on the eoc at the end of the year. I plan to use this for future argumentative essays i need to write. Today i feel okay. The day has been going good however i am very drained from this week.

 Today in class we use an article to find evidence to support claims. We had to find direct quotes then explain our reasoning for why we used it as evidence. I learned how to better use direct evidence to support the claims. I enjoyed reading the article and learning about the false facts about Christopher Columbus and how people feel about them. Today was okay i was tired.

 My fall break was good!! I started it off catching up on sleep and spending time with my girlfriend. I also shopped a lot and enjoyed cooking and baking. I spend time with my family and played soccer. I watched many recommend movies to me and played games on my xbox. Overall I enjoyed my break and I wish it could’ve been longer.

 Today in class we read a poem called “We Real Cool” which was about 7 kids who skipped school to go play pool. We analyzed the poem and decided what is cool and what is not cool to us. We then took a position on whether breaking rules shows confidence or masks insecurity. This was helpful for understanding how to better make claims and include evidence. Today was a good day.

 Today in class we read an article and found claims. We then categorized the claims into topics and decided what type of claim it was and made an opposing claim. This helped me identify what claims look like in text as well as how to decide what type of claim is which. I enjoyed reading the article and learning about the potential benefits of a 3-year bachelor’s degree. Today wasn’t a good day and I don’t feel good.

  Today In class we practiced using the three types of evidence to support our side. I learned about how each piece of evidence should look as well as how to use them to support a claim I made. I plan to use this to help me when I'm trying to support an argument or claim I am making. I enjoyed practicing using the different types of evidence. Today I am good aside from being tired.

 Today in class we got new vocabulary. We also took notes on evidence and the three different kinds. This will help me in future papers that I might have to write. I can use the new vocabulary to help me build my vocabulary and learn new words. I enjoyed learning the new words. Today was a good day.
